COME TO BETHLEHEM AND SEE……
If you are near West Chester tonite Saturday December 8 or tomorrow Sunday December 9 between 5:30 and 8pm, you’ve GOT to stop by Crestview Presbyterian to immerse yourself in a Bethlehem experience. Here’s what will happen:
Enter, receive your “costume” at Jesse’s Tailor Shop and a bag of coins.
Participate in the “census” (after all that’s the reason you would come here!).
Visit the MarketPlace for metal working, pottery, bakery (and sample some authentic breads and goodies), healing herbs, the synagogue, the fruit stand. You’ll hear musicians and try to avoid the Roman Soldiers who are working to detain the beggar children who want to steal your golden coins.
The shepherds will lead you through the hillside to where the Angel Choir is singing GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO. You’ll meet the INN KEEPER who will tell you there is “no room”, but as you move from the Inn you’ll be able to see the family out back who has just had a son whom they’ve named Jesus. They are there with the live animals including cow, donkey, llama, ducks and chickens.
As you ponder these things you’ll enter the Jewish Family Home to enjoy some treats and hospitality before you return to your village.
We promise a thoughtful and moving experience for all ages! But you have to come tonight or tomorrow night to partake!
