This picture shows me engaging with the congregation, sharing the “behind the scenes” of the music I’m playing, what the original organs sounded like, what the composers were thinking, and how it relates to “today” and the current organ I’m playing.  These new digital organs have so many wonderful tonal resources to recreate the original intent of the composers and the music, and the additional of orchestral voices to capture the emotion of the listener.  So today, we laughed, we cried, we learned, we clapped, (none boo-ed or if they did I didn’t hear them).  I loved being at St. James and am grateful for the invitation from the Parish and from Al Murrell at the Daffer Organ Group!
