SEASIDE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 8-2023

Cheri and I LOVED being at Seaside United Methodist Church for a concert on their marvelous Rodgers 599 Artist Organ, plus real zimbelstern and MX200 Midi Sound Module!  The invitation came from Seaside Organist Janette Schroeder who I’ve met several times at previous events including the Mt. Olive NC Dedication of a Rodgers Four Manual Artist plus pipes, and a new Rodgers 351 Inspire Organ at Conway, SC in April 2023.  The Seaside Sanctuary is spacious, bright with lots of hard surfaces–the organ has a double speaker compliment and sounded present and perfect in the room.  As the concert progressed I enjoyed telling stories of the pieces I chose to play, and enjoyed “traveling with the audience” to England, Germany, Italy, France, America and even a few “sea songs” in the key of “sea”.  Cheri and I appreciated all the hospitality shown by many, and a couple rounds of golf, and shelling walks as well.  Also, great to see Al Murrell at the program on Sunday from the RADaffer Organ Group!  What a wonderful area to visit and live, we pray this week’s storm left all our new friends safe and comfortable.
